Cindy’s Fund is a local charity, established in memory of Cindy Kutchman, that raises money to provide assistance for Garrett County citizens who have been stricken with cancer. Operating with funds received through donations and fundraisers, Cindy’s Fund is an all volunteer organization. All monies raised stay in Garrett County.
Cindy’s Fund helps cover miscellaneous expenses not covered by insurance for those in need, such as gas cards, hotel stays, medications, pharmacy supplies, nutritional supplements, hospital & physician co-payments and some insurances. All requests for assistance are taken into consideration.
Cindy’s Fund works closely with Garrett Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Center and the Garrett County Health Department to receive referrals on cancer patients, offer a Cancer Support Group, wig shops, and assistance with the Cancer Warrior Program through WildWood Athletic Club.
